Currently running a 13 inch by 17 pitch prop on my boat. If I went to a 13 1/4 inch prop with a 17 pitch what would that do to my boat. 19 ft. Key West Bay Reef. T-Top, 115 Yamaha 2 stroke. Loaded down full off fuel approx. 2800 lbs. Turning 5400 rpm.

Depends on what kind and size your boat is ,what size motor ,what are you turning for RPMs
Larry
Maybe get a little more hole shot, your not changing much. What exactly are you trying to achieve ?
Aaron
Adding a 1/4 inch to the prop diameter will do nothing that you notice
Kevin
Not much different. You will lose a little rpm if you can afford to
Roger
Loss of about 100rpms if it is the same manufacturer and material

What material prop, What’s your top speed at what rpm with boat trimmed up as much as you can at WOT, if your lucky it’s 38mph turning 5400 rpm. Any issues with it blowing out when turning, lagging hole shot? With that info we can provide more help.

Depends on the boat. I think you should get the same top end speed because it’s the same pitch but a little more wholeshot from the added surface area of the slightly larger prop. It’s also possible you could get a slight gain on top end because that prop is grabbing more water. I’m no expert and there’s a lot of variables to consider.
